Admiral Group plc ("Admiral")
The Board of Admiral is pleased to announce the appointment of Roger Abravanel, as an independent non-executive director with effect from 6th March 2012.
Roger Abravanel has significant international consulting experience having been with McKinsey and Company from 1972 until his retirement as Director Emeritus in 2006. Since his retirement Roger has applied his capacity for providing strategic, organisational and development advice as a non-executive director, serving on, amongst others, the Boards of: Luxottica Group S.p.A. (a company listed on the Borsa Italiana and the New York Stock Exchange); Teva Pharmaceutical Industries LTD (a company listed on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange and NASDAQ); Banca Nazionale del Lavoro S.p.A. (a subsidiary of Bank Paribas and a company listed on the Milan Stock Exchange); and COFIDE S.p.A. (a company listed on the Borsa Italiana). Roger is also a member of the Board of the Italian Institute of Technology and is Chairman of the INSEAD Advisory Group in Italy.
