Engaging colleagues on sustainability
We are committed to being a business that is both resilient and sustainable. This week, our Sustainability team hosted a number of events and activities to inspire and support colleagues to make more sustainable choices.
Michelle Leavesley, our Group Sustainability Officer, and Keith Davies, our Group Chief Risk Officer, hosted a webinar outlining what we’re doing to reach net zero emissions by 2040. The National Trust, Europe’s biggest conservation charity that look after nature, beauty and history, also hosted a webinar to explain how our donation is being used to foster climate resilience and enhancing our natural landscapes as part of their Riverlands Programme.
Meanwhile, Earthwatch, a charity focused on promoting the sustainable use of natural resources and conserving biodiversity, held workshops in our Cardiff and Swansea offices to highlight their fantastic work in this area and explain how Admiral colleagues can get involved.
Our Spanish business, Admiral Seguros, hosted a sustainability forum, in partnership with APD, an independent non-profit business that provides training and networking, and PwC Spain, bringing together more than 30 sustainability professionals in Sevilla to discuss climate action as a profitable growth opportunity. Sarah Harris, Admiral Seguros CEO, and Pablo Mellado, our European Sustainability Lead, shared how we are exploring the commercial benefits of sustainability and the importance of our Net Zero Transition Plan to creating a more sustainable business.
