Inside Admiral

Georgie is a Procurement Manager in Admiral Money, and since joining the Group in 2018 on the Admiral Graduate programme, Georgie has enjoyed a diverse career and is currently studying for her Level 5 Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) qualification.

Graduating with a BA in Geography, Georgie never considered a career in Procurement and was uncertain about what route to take her career in. She joined Admiral's Graduate programme after hearing about our great reputation, which included rotational placements throughout the business, starting with a stint in our claims department. During the programme, Georgie worked as a commercial executive for Admiral Money where she manager the price comparison website partners. To her surprise she found herself enjoying the external nature of the role and engaging with third parties and successfully secured her position as a Procurement Manager in Admiral Money at the end of the programme.

Currently, Georgie is pursuing a Level 5 qualification with the CIPS, having completed Level 4 already. She started Level 5 in September 2024 and aims to complete it this year. Georgie is supported with dedicated study time for weekly training sessions and exam preparation, and the qualification aims to enhance her strategic understanding of procurement and prepare her for more senior responsibilities to support her future ambitions.

“I wanted to take on a new challenge and take the opportunity to develop professionally. I wanted to learn new skills and gain industry knowledge externally that I could bring back and share with the team here.

“I didn’t study anything related to procurement or supply chain management at university, so I was keen to gain that in-depth background knowledge and learn the theory so I have a better understanding of my role and how to perform even better.

“I’ve already gained a lot of skills and knowledge from the course that have helped me in my day-to-day role. This includes contract and stakeholder management, negotiation, and procurement strategy. It’s given me the confidence to build stronger strategic relationships with our partners, which brings added value to all of our supplier relationships. “
